Hubert Coutts (Tucker) R.I. (1851-1921).
Hubert Coutts was a landscape painter born into a family of Lake District artists. He was the son of Edward Tucker (1825 - 1909) and brother of artists Alfred, Edward and Frederick Tucker. (Coutts changed his name from Hubert Coutts Tucker and was variously listed with the Christian names Hubert and Herbert). Exhibited at the Royal Academy, Dudley Gallery, Walker Art Gallery and Royal Scottish Academy. He was first president of the Lake Artists Society and a member of the Royal Institute of Watercolour Painters from 1912.
Lived at Hammarbank, Windermere.
