An outstanding condition original period sideboard.

We are delighted to bring to you the finest example of a rare Victorian period (circa 1870) breakfront sideboard made from the finest quality fiddleback Mahogany. The sideboard features its stunning wild grain fiddleback Mahogany breakfront top complete with a double drop moulded edge finishing to 3 hidden Ash wood lined dovetail constructed drawers. The grand base consists of 2 square moulded panel doors flanked by 2 cupboards with arched panelled Fiddleback Mahogany doors, each having 2 beautifully carved corbels to the top. The doors are all lockable via its original brass lever locks and 2 keys (1 original and 1 copy) which operate all of the locks, complete with brass key escutcheons. Unlocking and opening the doors reveals a large double door cupboard compartment in the middle with a removable shelf in the centre. The cupboards either side have a central shelf with removable linen press drawers complete with a cellarette to the bottom of the right cupboard. The sideboard sits proudly on its cross-band Mahogany veneered and moulded breakfront plinth.
