Fine mid 19th century, French Bronze figure of a reclining nude by Jean Jacques Pradier, called James (1790 - 1852) entitled Femme Couchée, Bras Croisés, 1842 cast by Susse Freres.

Marks to base - J Pradier, Susse Fres, and letter F.

Reference James Pradier, Catalogue Raisonné by Claude Lapaire, p315, model number 185.

Very rare model, excellent condition, nice even dark patina, minor age related wear.
