A rather sweet small George III mahogany and pine chest of drawers, having much charm and character.
c1780.
The top and drawer fronts to this little chest are made of mahogany, with the sides being pine with a mahogany colour.
The three drawers are pine lined and of fine dove-tail construction. Retaining the original escutcheons and locks, with replaced Georgian brass handles, which are stylistically and age correct.
The chest oozes age and character, with an undulating top and signs of age and patina to the sides, which is quite charming.
Everything on the chest is solid, sturdy and strong even though characterful, with a few knocks and bumps.
Standing on nicely shaped bracket feet.
Wonderful warm patination and character throughout
