A stunning burr walnut with floral marquetry inlay writing, or library, table from the mid Victorian period. Of generous proportions and of excellent construction in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The serpentine shaped top is inset with a sumptuous black leather writing surface replete with gilt tooled decoration. This is surrounded by a deep border of exquisite floral marquetry inlay. To the front there is a single drawer to the freeze. The base is in solid walnut with carved detailings, with legs terminating in their original castors. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops to a very high standard and now offered for sale in excellent condition.
