Retard...late….

In this French ink drawing from circa 1900 a little boy is stomping through the snow to get to his classroom …. late…..

To me, this delicate work brings back a lot of memories - and feelings - of being small in the world of grown ups.

Measuring 20 x 14 cm at sight, our china ink drawing is signed at the lower right, but I have unfortunately not manage to decipher the signature. The overall framed size in a natural oak frame is 28 x 35 cm.
