Circa 1880 George II style figured walnut chest on stand in excellent condition. The polished top in figured walnut with crossbanding over a moulded foredge and a simple beaded frieze and 2 short and 2 long drawers with mirror matched figured walnut crossbanding and cast brass drop handles and elaborate brass escutcheons with crossbanding and all with solid oak drawer linings The moulded base with 2 further shallower matching drawers and with shaped beaded skirt. Supported on cabriole legs with acanthus carved knees and deeply carved ball and claw feet.
