We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. Metal beds gained popularity during the Victorian era as industrial manufacturing allowed for mass production, offering a cleaner and more hygienic alternative to traditional wooden beds.

These frames typically combine cast iron for structural stability and decorative components, wrought iron for slender supports, and occasionally brass accents or ceramic castors.

Authentic pieces often exhibit hand-poured iron joints, traditional wedge fixings, surface oxidisation consistent with age, and heavier gauge metal compared to modern reproductions.

Pairing the metallic frame with crisp neutral linens, textured wool throws, and natural timber flooring creates a balanced contrast between industrial heritage and modern comfort.

Maintain the finish by dusting with a dry cloth, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners, and gently treating any surface corrosion with microcrystalline wax to protect the metal.
