Clutched tightly under her arm, her doll is elegantly attired in a long blue dress and a wide-brimmed hat.

Set in the original papier-mâché frame with an emblems (rose, thistle & shamrock) hanger, the portrait is painted on card but has faded somewhat, especially the facial features and the necklace. There is also differential colouring in the unpainted area around the top edge. Nonetheless, the portrait retains great charm and would make a sweet addition to a collection of folkart.
