Antique Baluch camel ground prayer rug with tree of life, from the borders of Western Afghanistan and Eastern Persia.

Circa 1880.

The rug is beautifully drawn with a tree of life and has excellent colour, the camel wool ground is very soft. The rug has a traditional Baluch design to the main border which is found in rugs associated with the Timuri and also the Khorassan region.

The rug is in fair condition with uneven wear and medium / low pile, there is heavy wear in places and this is reflected in the price of the rug.

The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
