Size: 5ft 9in x 3ft 4in (174 x 102cm).
Antique Beshir Turkmen chuval with the ‘mina khani’ (many flowers) design.
Late 19th century.
This Beshir chuval is of a good size and would be very suitable for use as a floor rug. The chuval is very well drawn with a clear madder red field, note the row of amulet trees in the elem. Silk in soft pastel colours is used as a highlight in all the flowers. This is a very good example of a Beshir chuval.
The chuval is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.
The chuval has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
