A late 19thC French bronze figure depicting a standing male holding a spear and with a helmet at his feet. - signed and inscribed. in very good condition and with brown patination. 810mm high, 280mm wide and 190mm deep. French. Circa 1890.
 
Henri Honore Ple was a French painter and sculptor, who trained under the celebrated French sculptor Mathurin Moreau. He exhibited for the first time at the Paris Salon in 1877 and received an honourable mention in 1879.
