An early Finnish Rya wedding rug dated 1815 The happy couple woven twice at the bottom of this wonderful charismatic and super rare folk rug. The initials EHD clearly visible. Rugs of this vintage are extremely rare and the present example remain in extraordinary condition, full pile, no staining, backed with hanging loops. From the private collection of the late Peter Wilborg.
