An early 18th Century walnut chest on stand. The chest now stands on later (1900) cabriole carved legs, with clan feet. The upper section has an interesting arrangement of drawers. The veneer is book matched and nicely figured, with herringbone banding and is cross banded through the centre of the drawer. The drawer linings are of oak and the lacquered handles have been later replaced.
