Large early 20th century African bronze tribal goblet,c1920. The decoration is very typical of the Benin tribal area. The stem is in the form of a standing warrior supporting a cup decorated with Roosters. The quality indicates it would be for ceremonial use/is a prestige piece for a high ranking individual. The bronze has taken on great colour / patina with minor Verdigris marks as you would expect from an older bronze. Overall condition is good in line with age and use.
