A William IV period mercury wheel barometer. A slim mahogany case of good proportions with a swan neck top pediment and original central bone finial. Choice flame mahogany veneers and case edge banding. Silvered dials to the hygrometer, thermometer and level. A well engraved main dial with a windmill and cottage scene. Signed to the level ''John Leone Aylesbury''. Circa 1835.
 
John Leone is recorded in Banfields ''Barometer Makers and Retailers'' book as working from 1830-1850.
