Large late 19th century Japanese Meiji period Japanese bronze Tiger, c1890. Beautifully cast and heavy at 2.4kg, it has great expressive features and stripes to the body with the musculature finely defined. The bronze has taken on good colour /patina following years of use. Overall condition is good with only minor scuffs /marks, very much as you would expect from a piece of this age.
