Here we have a high quality mid Victorian figured burr walnut Davenport with the piano top lid, the slide out fitted interior houses a green leather adjustable writing slope, ink well and pen rest which opens to reveal a small storage area, there are two drawers with black bun knob handles, the stop has fret-work gallery which lifts via a secret catch accessed inside the right hand drawer to reveal a stationery storage area.The right hand side of the Davenport has four fitted mahogany lined drawers with turned bun handles, the left hand side has four dummy drawers, both sides are flanked by fluted turned columns with carved floral decoration leading down to four original hidden casters, the Davenport is in very good condition indeed for it''s age, dating to around 1860, there is a bit of minor damage to the fret-work gallery and an old repair to one part of the internal stationery section.Collection is from our Hebden Bridge store or by prior arranged delivery.We are more t...
