Large French, stunning Gilt Bronze Sculpture entitled ‘Sappho a la Colonne’ by Jean Jacques Pradier (1790 - 1852) called ‘James’ cast by Victor Paillard, 3rd quarter 19th century. Signed ‘J Pradier’ dated ‘1848’ with initials VP with crown above. Set upon white marble base.

Truly beautiful, excellent condition, regilded, absolutely stunning presentation.
