All drawers with original pairs of turned knob handles, brass escutcheon and lock, with working key. Original Maple & Co badge. Inside the central drawer, on the base is an inscription dated July 1876, which appears show this desk being gifted.

This desk measures approximately 75 cm (29.5") tall, 129 cm (50.75") wide, and 59 cm (23.25") deep. The kneeholes measures 59.5 cm (23.5") tall and 59 cm (23.25") wide.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This desk is in a very good overall condition, commensurate with its age, is structurally very sound and sturdy. Only one small repair, to the top right of the central drawer, otherwise everything is original. Including polish, handles, locks, escuteons... Only odd minor marks and blemishes. Over pleasing patina, with charming fading amber colour to the top. Cleaned and waxed. Very serviceable, all in good working order, and ready to use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
