This late 19th Century Beautiful Inlaid Edwardian Mahogany Antique Kidney Shaped Writing Desk dates from ca. 1900. This fine antique desk has a stunning kidney shaped moulded top with cross banded edge, boxwood and ebony string inlay. This sits above a shaped central drawer over knee hole flanked by two shaped drawers all with the original brass swan neck handles and beautifully cross banded with inlay. This elegant antique stands on tapering legs with spade feet and brass castors. It is finished all the way around so may be placed in the centre of the room if desired. The Mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of Mahogany wax finishing.
