This is a beautiful antique Victorian box settle/seat made of carved oak, circa 1890. The piece is not only functional as a seat or shoe storage, but it also has intricate carvings that add to its aesthetic appeal. The settle is made oak which is a lovely rich colour.

It has three profusely carved panels to the back. Then the base with a lift up seat has three carved panels to the front. The storage below the seat is ideal for shoes or other items which need to be out of sight.

This antique settle has withstood the test of time since it was manufactured in circa 1890, making it a rare and valuable piece of history. Its patina adds warmth to any room, and it is perfect for collectors or those looking for a unique addition to their home decor.

The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are 133 cm wide x 66 cm deep x 112 cm high

and the seat itself is approximately 121 cm long x 44.5 cm deep

CONDITION: The settle is in condition as can be seen from the photographs, there are just minor knocks and marks commensurate with age and use.
