Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco bronzes emerged during the 1920s and 1930s, heavily influenced by modernist movements, global travels, and the dynamism of the modern dance era, particularly the Ballets Russes.

These pieces are typically cast in bronze or spelter using the lost-wax method, then finished with cold-painting techniques where polychrome enamel or paint is applied to the metal surface without heat-firing.

Authentic pieces usually feature signature engravings, foundry marks, fine chisel work on the metal surface, and appropriate patination consistent with age and wear.

Place the sculpture on a dark wood sideboard, mantelpiece, or glass-fronted display cabinet where its metallic tones and linear silhouette can serve as a focal point.

Dust gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth, avoiding any liquid cleaners, chemical solvents, or abrasive polishes that might damage the delicate cold-painted finish.
