What is a compactum wardrobe?

It's a wardrobe fitted internally with drawers, trays or sliding shelves as well as a hanging compartment, rather than a plain hanging space with a rail. The term turns up in 98 of the 867 listings on Sellingantiques, often paired with breakfront and triple in the same title. The related word combination, in 24 titles, is used much the same way.

Which timber is most common?

Mahogany, by a distance. It names half of all titles, including figured and flame mahogany, and it runs across every door count from singles to four-door breakfronts. Walnut follows at about a fifth, with burr walnut accounting for half of that. Pine is the third strand, around one in eight, and rising among pieces currently listed.

Why do so many listings just say Victorian?
