Description

An antique Turkoman Sailor Gun handwoven runner, approximately 8'10" x 2'9", dating from the early C20th. This old rug has a red coloured field, with single column of sailor gul medallions, enclosed by indigo repeating borders. A hand knotted, rug with medium short pile, short selvages and fringes to both ends. Wool pile and cotton foundations.

A old rug, full of charm, with attractive worn in appearance, still full of live and ready for use.

This rug measures approximately 268 cm long including fringes, and 83 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in a reasonable, age worn condition. Some wear through the pile. Wear to both fringes. Slightly warped shape. Full of charm and still very useable. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
