Description

An antique Caucasian kazak handwoven runner, approximately 7'6" x 2'9", dating from the late C19th. This old rug has a madder red coloured field, with column of hooked medallions, ivory coloured spandrels, enclosed by stylised flower borders. A hand knotted, rug with medium short pile, short fringes to both ends. Wool pile and foundations.

A old rug with some flaws but full of charm, still very useable with its age worn appearance.

This rug measures approximately 229 cm long including fringes, and 85 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in well used, age worn condition. Well worn down pile, see pictures. Wear to both fringes. Cut down, repaired, and restitched together through middle. Slightly warped shape. Full of charm and still very useable. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
