A lovely antique Hamadan rug, handwoven circa 1920 featuring a Mahi design on a terracotta field around an elegant deep indigo medallion and similar border. Fabulous secondary colours, especially the light green and gold in the main design.
Size: 2.04m x 1.51m (6ft 8in x 5ft)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Loss of outer guard border at each end (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
