Antique Caucasian Kazak rug with star design, scarce small size.

Circa 1890.

This very attractive small Kazak rug has a large star to the center surrounded by small tribal devices, there is a box design in each corner. The inner border is of a floral rosette design and the main border is ivory ground with the well known leaf design.

A beautiful rug or wall hanging, with striking design.

The rug has even wear with good pile, there is some corrosion to the charcoal brown.

Hand washed and ready for use or display.
