Description

Woven on a deep blue almost black background we offer here a rare narrow antique Heriz runner, late 19th century and full of tribal charm. Madder red dyes and varying pale blue dyes, we can see great abrash (dye change) in the minor blue borders. As the weaver has gone along and wove this piece, they have run out of certain wool and used a different batch of blue wool. This adds great character and filled with geometric floral motifs of leaves in the main field.

We supply excellent underlay with every carpet, runner or rug too which would aid this antique runner and helps to keep it secure on the floor. The wool pile is fairly good on this runner, please look at all the additional images of this piece to see the condition up close.
