Description

Rare Grand Tour late 19th century German black 'bronzed' finish terracotta high relief wall plaque depicting the Pantheon, or Mauselium of Agrippa, in Rome with the inscription 'Pantheon o Mausoleo dAgrippa'. The black reverse stamped 'JM' with two indecipherable symbols which probably denote the date of production and the number '121' for Johann Maresch so making it post 1863. Probably produced at the Baehr and Maresch factory in Aussig an der Elbe sometime between 1863-1890.
