Size: 4ft 10in x 3ft 2in (148 x 96cm).

Antique Baluch rug with camel ground and tree of life.

Circa 1880.

This fine small Baluch rug has a very well drawn lotus leaf tree on a ground of soft camel wool. The border design and the two cord selvedge point to the possibility that this rug is by the Timuri tribes of Western Afghanistan. The rug retains its original long kilim end finishes at both ends.

The rug is in good condition with slight even wear and good pile. The rug is offered in original condition with slight losses to the kilim ends and a little wear to the side bindings.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display, the rug is suitable for light domestic use.

A good rug with superb soft wool.
