Description

This pretty room-size Mahal carpet has a very nice balance of colours and a charming design. The field design, which appears to lie on two planes, draws the eye in to examine the fine detail, while the elegant sapphire border with repeating blossoms and other floral ornaments matches the field so well. Note the lovely terracotta which dominates the carpet but also the turquoise blue and gold which appears in the details and guard stripes. the all-over design is also very useful for decoration, and one can imagine this carpet working very well in many types of settings. Professionally cleaned and in very nice condition. Minor signs of wear which give it the elusive lived-in look.
