Antique Karaja Rug

Description

A rustic and tribal small antique Karaja rug, with the best pale blue dyes.  Wonderful dye change, we can see the colours subtly change due to the dyes fading over 100 plus years.  Look for the tribal animals in the top centre design.  Full of character and in great condition too!

Karaja is a small village in the north of Persia near Heriz, they produced geometric rugs and carpets full of charm, rustic dyes and bold graphics.  Condition is good on this little rug, with a low to medium pile throughout, professionally washed and ends secured ready for the floor.
