Description

An antique Turkmen Tekke rug from the Emirate of Bukhara, approximately 5'11" x 3'9", Circa 1900. This charming rug has a madder red field with with rows of quartered guls, enclosed by borders of stella motifs. A hand knotted, rug with fringes to both ends. Wool pile and cotton foundations.

A good quality rug, full of character and signs of use, in a reasonably good condition and very much ready for use.

This rug measures approximately 180 cm including fringes, and 115.5 cm wide.

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in reasonably good condition, commensurate with its age. A small stitched repair to one end, see pictures. A little even wear to pile. Fringes with some wear. Good even colour. A good regular shape for a handwoven rug. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
