Size: 2ft 2in x 2ft 3in (65 x 68cm).

Antique Shahsavan saddle bag in soumak technique with plain weave back.

Circa 1880.

An outstanding soumak bag in a classic Shahsavan design, superb natural dyes throughout.

The bag is in excellent original condition with very slight wear and no repairs. The top end retains the original closing loops, the back is striped plain weave. There are a few scattered old moth holes to the back.

We have not washed this item. An outstanding and collectable example.

This item is a pair to item number H-431b, a discount will be given if the pair are purchased together.
