Antique Kashan Carpet

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a fine antique Kashan carpet from Central Iran, with a very nice subtle colour palette, which dates from around 1920. The finely woven rug has a beautifully intricate design having a flower filled deep indigo field with a cusped pole medallion, madder spandrels and deep floral borders. It is a useful size measuring 193 cms by 131 cms.

The carpet is in very good order with very minor wear to one end which is secure, and this in clean, ready to use condition.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
