Size: 8ft 5in x 3ft 10in (257 x 117cm).

Antique Caucasian Shirvan long rug from the Kuba region.

Circa 1890.

A good Kuba Shirvan rug with three linked medallions in ivory, madder red and indigo blue on an abrashed dark blue ground. The field contains eight stylized dragons flanking the medallions. The rug is framed by a red ground Kufic design border with an inner and outer guard of carnations. An outstanding and unusual rug.

The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium pile.

The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
