A fabulous Caucasian Shirvan runner, woven over 120 years ago, with a wonderful selection of colours and remaining in near perfect condition. The indigo blue ground with rows of four repeating Botehs, each one enclosing a flower in a contrasting colour.
Look in-between the botehs at the weavers imagination - each of these spaces has been filled with different motifs - flowers, stars, even small cooking pots. The border is also very nice, with one yellow and one ivory minor guard rail - altogether a superb runner in lovely condition and ready to be used.
