The border is very well-designed and would look great around a dining table. The overall impression is formal, but like many Mahal carpets from this period, the palmettes and other details are quite angular which gives the carpet a more 'relaxed' feel. It has survived the generations in very good condition, the pile being worn evenly. The selvages are original and intact, as are the the ends. There are no old repairs. Professionally cleaned in our workshops and ready for immediate use.
