An outstanding antique Heriz carpet, hand woven circa 1900. The unusual design features a lozenge medallion surrounded by stylised flowers and vines on a terracotta field and indigo border. Fabulous secondary colours including blues, pinks and golds and a highly decorative piece.
Size: 3.67m x 2.98m (12ft x 9ft 9in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, slightly heavier in places (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
