A truly breathtaking antique Heriz carpet, really one of the best of its type! Striking vibrant colours, remarkable intricate pattern with detailed leaves, pale blue medallion and gorgeous ivory corners. A real wow! The natural dyes and fine weave create one of the best Heriz we have seen recently.
Condition is near flawless, a high wool pile, no repairs and dating from circa 1890-1900. When we purchased this carpet recently it was rather dirty, so it has been thoroughly cleaned by our workshop and now ready for the floor.
Please view all the additional images to see how lovely the colours and intricate pattern has been woven. Accomplished nomadic weavers have created a glorious carpet, woven 100 years ago and looking as good as the day it was cut from the loom.
