Antique Fine Silk Carpet

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a very fine hand woven silk carpet dating from around 1930. The quality carpet is finely drawn with a very detailed curvilinear design featuring an intricate central medallion set within a field of flowers, leaves and trailing vines. The central field is a beautiful soft coral shade and the carpet also features deep indigo, camel, and soft sage green and ice blue to the spandrels and borders. A very pretty rug, this is in excellent condition throughout. It measures 190 cms by 125 cms.
