Superb Antique Victorian Mahogany Duchesse Dressing Table C1880 Wdb6037/27.9

Description

This is an extremely handsome antique victorian duchess mahogany dressing table and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a central mirror set within a mahogany frame with carved pedament to the top and supported on shaped and carved stanchions above three small jewellery drawers which are mahogany lined and with original quality brass handles. Joining the drawers and to the centre there is a dome shaped top which opens to reveal a large storage compartment. The base has a moulded edge to the serpentine shaped top with deep mahogany shaped frieze and it stands on gorgeous turned baluster and cup legs with straight legs to the back all joined by a shaped pot board and standing on small castors.

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany and oozes charm, character and quality.

Measures: 68" high to top of mirror X 29" high to table top X 21" deep X 48" wide
