Persian Heriz Handwoven Oriental Runner 10'6"X4' (Rug)

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Persian Heriz, handwoven runner, approximately 10'6" x 4', Circa 1920. This old runner has a madder coloured field with all over design, single central ivory coloured medallion, spandrels, enclosed by a single repeating narrow border. A hand knotted, rug with medium pile, short fringes to both ends. Wool pile and foundations.

A good quality period rug, with some flaws but full of character and ready for use.

Dimensions:

This rug measures approximately 320 cm including fringes, and 112.5 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in reasonable condition, commensurate with its age. Some wear to the pile. Light frying to the sides. Losses to both ends. Few repairs, see pictures. A good regular shape for a handwoven rug. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
