Sivas carpets were often commissioned for the Western market, using elegant curvilinear designs from Persian rugs and intricate floral motifs combined with wide borders with repeating cartouche designs. This design variation can also be seen on Tabriz carpets, a wonderful muted carpet that have a lot of decorative appeal
...and are ideal to furnish around. Generally their palette is very soft and the wool used of good quality and soft under foot.
