Description

Persian Qashgai Hamadan, handwoven rug, approximately 6'3" x 5'3", Circa 1910. This old rug has a red field with single diamond medallion centre, spandrels, enclosed by multiple repeating stylised flower borders. A hand knotted, rug with medium pile, short fringes to both ends. Wool pile and cotton foundations.

A charming old tribal rug, in a reasonable condition and very much ready for use.

Dimensions:

This rug measures approximately 191 cm including fringes, and 160 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in reasonable condition, commensurate with its age. Some wear to pile. Losses to both ends. A reasonably regular shape for a handwoven old rug. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
