Antique Afghan Tribal Storage Bag Complete with Tassels, Circa 1920.

Description

Size: 2ft 10in x 2ft 1in (86 x 64cm) excluding tassels.

Antique Afghan tribal storage bag used to keep either grain or personal belongings in, possibly hanging up inside a yurt or tribal tent.

Circa 1920.

The bag face is piled with an attractive colour palette, the reverse has a stripped plain weave back. Note the closing panel at the top and the long decorative tassels.

The bag is in very good condition with very slight even wear and good pile.
