This is a monumental brass water pitcher whose ''rugged'' exterior must tell a thousand tales! The jug proudly wears the scars of centuries of meals and drinks served, with dings, scuffs, and historical mends all of which make this piece so fascinating.
There is a very simple iron handle fastened to the pitcher - whether it originated with the jug or has been added later is lost in the mists of time!
I have dated this water pitcher to be 19th century, but in truth it could be much older.

It stands 28cm high, 26cm across its body and 30cm across to the handle.
