Size: 1ft 10in x 1ft 7in (56 x 48cm).

Antique Shahsavan saddle bag face in soumak technique.

Circa 1880.

A good soumak bag face in a classic Shahsavan bird head medallion design, superb natural dyes throughout. The pastel colours stand out against the dark indigo blue ground. There is a very good light green used especially in the border.

The bag face is in excellent original condition with very slight wear.

The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
