Size: 7ft 11in x 5ft 5in (242 x 165cm).

Old Sarkoy or Pirot kilim from south eastern Serbia, of a scarce design.

Circa 1920

Sharkoy kilims are also known as Sarkoy, Pirot or Thracian, they originate from south eastern Serbia and other regions of The Balkans.

The weave is very tight and fine, the design is typical of the region, note the beautiful ivory coloured border with pastel shades.

This scarce design is on a soft warm pink /red field, note the very well charming small birds sitting in rows.

Very good condition with slight wear. Suitable for normal domestic use. (there is an old area of slight discolouration that can be seen in the images, this is reflected in the price).

Hand washed and ready for use.
